Yes, by popular demand, the Cheesy Ring club is back. The idea of the club is simple: people bring along cheese, pickles, biscuits, bread, or whatever else takes their fancy, and share it with the rest of the pub. You don't have to bring a lot and nor do you have to have brought something along to partake. We really have had some fantastic feasts in the past and what better to wash some fromage down than Beartown's cracking range of beers?
Perhaps
one of the most popular comic duos of all time, Laurel and Hardy still enjoy a
huge following around the world, not least at the Cheshire Ring where a branch -
or tent - of the official appreciation society meets regularly on the last Thursday of the month.
The Sons of the Desert, Tent No. 262, meet in the erstwhile no smoking room of the pub where they show a programme of the lads films, to the obvious delight of the audience.
Many of us remember Laurel and Hardy as being required viewing on a Saturday morning in our youth and they are as funny now as they ever were.

Every
Thursday is dedicated to the Curry Club, with a spectacular curry and a
pint coming in at an even more spectacular £4.99.
Wayne's trademark curry is a chicken (Turkey for December!) balti, but there is also a vegetarian
version and sometimes goat! You can choose a pint up to the value of £2.40 or, if your
chosen tipple is a little more expensive, simply make the price up with extra
pennies. Curries are available from 2pm onwards, until the grub runs out!
The
first Thursday of every month is acoustic night with Twiggy and Darren.
If you enjoy singing or playing an instrument, why not come down and join in.
And if you just want to listen, you will be made equally welcome.
